Scrambled egg is a delicious dish made from eggs. It is nutritious and rich in protein. The eggs are usually beaten with milk, butter and a few other ingredients. it is continuously stirred and cooked on low heat for a few minutes.

Most people assume making scrambled eggs is easy but it’s not something anybody can make without knowing the steps involved. It is quick and easy to prepare.  And with little ingredients, you can make your perfect scrambled eggs. It can be affordable for anyone who enjoys making and eating it as I do. Once you have your eggs and the remaining ingredients I’ll be listing then you have your dish ready.

Ingredients for scrambled eggs

  • 4 large eggs
  • Vegetable oil or butter(Melted)
  • Milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper or white pepper(Optional )

Purpose of each ingredient

  • Eggs: It is the most important ingredient. It’s proteinous and can be gotten from the stores around you. So ensure you get good quality eggs.
  • Vegetable oil or butter: Vegetable oil or melted butter is used to grease the pan. Melted butter also adds extra flavour.
  • Black pepper:   Sprinkling black pepper on the scrambled egg gives a little spicy flavour. It’s optional though.
  • Milk: Adding milk to your scrambled eggs makes it creamy. So if you like it creamy make sure you add enough milk.
  • Salt: Salt is important to taste. You don’t want something tasteless so it’s advisable to add a little salt.

Let’s start cooking 

Now that you have all the ingredients for this recipe ready, it is time to start cooking

  • The first thing to do is to crack your eggs into a bowl and whisk thoroughly.

How to make scrambled

  • Add the milk and whisk  thoroughly.

  • Grease the nonstick pan with vegetable oil or butter and allow to heat. Remember using melted butter gives it extra flavour but it still remains an option.
  • Pour the whisked eggs into the heated pan and allow it to cook for a few seconds without stirring.

How to make scrambled eggs

  • At this stage make sure your stove is on low heat. That’s the best temperature for making scrambled eggs especially if you don’t want a burnt end product. Nobody enjoys burnt dishes though.
  • With a spatula continuously move the egg to great small curbs. Looking yummy already.

  • Turn off the heat and add a pinch of salt and a little black better. Feel free to garnish to your taste.
  • It can serve as breakfast with bread and hot beverage or chilled juice.
