“WE ARE WHAT WE EAT” I’m not a nutritionist but l have an idea of what it means to eat healthy through little studies and research which is why I chose to share this article with you guys on healthy eating.

Eating healthy generally means eating foods that supply your body with the most amount of energy and are good for your body. The food you eat has an impact on your body which is why You have to make good food choices. Making poor food choices can affect your health such as increasing the risk of chronic diseases.

So eating healthy doesn’t necessarily mean losing weight. It’s about making sure that your body gets the right nutrient it needs to function properly which is why you have to maintain a well-balanced diet. It involves eating fruits, vegetables, proteins, healthy fats, whole grains etc but also be mindful of how you prepare your meals and the kind of drinks you consume especially soda.  Eating healthy also includes eating a portion of nutritious food that is low in added sugar, salt and saturated fat.

How to eat healthy

Don’t maintain healthy eating just because you’re trying to shed weight but is a good idea to always maintain it even after you must have shed some weight. This is one of the things I’m trying to incorporate into my life.  It should become a habit, not a temporary thing.  Health is important and everyone deserves to feel their best way every day.  Doing this doesn’t only affect your body but also your mental health because it will provide your body with the nutrient you need for wellness.

Find what works for you and also pay attention to your body not just your taste buds as this can be deceiving sometimes by making you consume things that might be harmful to your body. Always remember that ”HEALTH IS WEALTH”.
